DescriptionThe idea for this cover was inspired by some of the classic boxing posters done in the '40's-50's. In this issue, the Thing (radiated) was the most time consuming element. To place him on model in each panel with every one of his rocks was laborious...but fun. The Doctor was and is one of my favorite characters. I was nervous about a composition being JUST head shots (let alone profiles) wouldn't fly but Bobby Chase understood the intent...thank you for that support B.Social/Sharing |

I visit CAF multiple times a day for reasons like this. Classic 80's Marvels covers surfacing out of no where.

Love this! the detail is stunning. The tension is palpable. I couldn't wait to open the issue and see the impending rumble. Very memorable cover. Well done Jeff!

While the entire run was so great, this issue by far was my favorite--favorite story, favorite interior art, and definitely favorite cover. So impactful, original, and well-designed--they don't make 'em like this anymore!
