Description

This particular drawing holds a very special place in my heart. I had the pleasure of having the great Joe Kubert on my morning TV show awhile back (Weekend Today in New York on WNBC Ch. 4) to discuss the Sgt. Rock graphic novel he did w/Brian Azzarello. We also profiled his school, which was a fascinating adventure on its own.

I thought it went very well. But you can imagine my surprise when, several weeks later, I received a pkg in the mail with this incredible drawing of one of my favorite heroes. Just a perfect example of the best Hawkman, Joe Kubert's Hawkman! Thanks Joe .. you are a great artist and an even better person.
