I commissioned Jerry Ordway to do a recreation of the classic Superman #199 cover by Carmine Infantino. But instead of racing against the Flash, I wanted Captain Marvel.

That's a great cover reinterpretation! I love Flash, so I miss him here, but on the other hand I also get bored with straight recreations, and with Ordway having done a long run on the character, Shazam is the perfect replacement. I also love all the character replacements in the background. Especially cool to see the Grummett Superboy. Awesome!
