DescriptionBeen a huge fan of this run of the X-men since it launched back in the day (Can't believe its been over 11 years!) At one point I owned a really great page and even a variant cover, but those all went away as I built my collection. Then one day in 2019 when I wasn't expecting it, it showed up on CAF. Yup there it was - Sold already. I missed it by a few hours.So when this came available recently, I made an all out effort. Love Stuart's art on this series and couldn't be happier. For his part, Wade did an awesome job too and the series wouldn't have looked so great without him. And just a quick shout out to JK for working with me and being so cool. Sublime pick up quite representative of Stuart evolution as an artist and of Bendis' tenure on the X.

Congrats on picking this up! This is probably one of Marvel Now's most memorable covers and Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger were on fire on this run.

For me there is nothing quite as cool as those five original X-Men in their original costumes & Immonem nailed it !

I thought this was one of the best pieces posted on the latest CAL and is a beautiful example from a great run by an A+ team. Immonen set the bar for the 2010s with his masterful work on the X-Men and Von Grawbadger is his best inker. Maybe the last great X-Men run?

A great wraparound merging the two teams and in line thematically of the storyline of colliding past and present! Immonen and Von Grawbadger launching this title is a major milestone of their careers.

I like the shorthand in the for sale staus. Nope is clearly shorthand for No, Peters getting it from me as a present. After all what does an avatar barbarian require with pieces of paper? They seek glory, riches, power and comely wenches. You won't get many of those by showing your collection of pieces of paper to impress. Wow, shorthand messages contain so much...

Wade's deep inks add mad pop to the children of the atom and eXactly where needed. Glorious piece of my fav Marvel team and large sized...as the art gods intended!

WHOA!! One of THE pieces I think of when I think of Stuart Immonen and that's saying something. All characters look outstanding no doubt - I particularly like the young original X-Men. Something about those classic unis brought to today paired with the killer poses and no nonsense expressions. What a way to start off what ended up being a great run! HUGE congrats, DF!

BOOM! Well, there you go, Duke, locking up one of my 'Best of CAF 2023' votes... :) And honestly, I couldn't be happier knowing this glorious piece is in a collection that treasures it (which is what it deserves)! What a fantastic and classic image; I'd go so far as to say 'indelible' for anyone reading those really fun books at the time. Titanic composition and glorious execution by the dream team of Immonen and von Grawbadger! SERIOUS congrats, Duke!

Cool!!! I originally Stuart's reps about buyingthis coverand was surpised when I was informed it was not a wraparound covers art but a tri-plex for issues 1 and 2. Ended up buyingthe whole thing. You should post the original art with all three sections together. Congrats!!!!
