Description

This cover features a pair of Spitfires, so I was interested. From 2022 'The Lion & the Eagle' #1 Variant cover by Keith Burns, an award-winning aviation artist and illustrator.

Story is by Garth Ennis - blurb: In 1944, Imperial Japan still commands most of Asia. Determined to regain their hold on Burma, the British send a special forces unit - the Chindits - deep behind Japanese lines. Their mission is to attack the enemy wherever they find him. What awaits them is a nightmare equal to anything the Second World War can deliver.

Brings a bit of the romance to it with the planes moving in unison like a dance in front of the exotic locale.
