Description

Years ago, DOA repped Jason Pearson and Jim took commissions for Jason. Like many of us, I really liked Jason's very distinctive art style. My request was based on an Elektra cover by Greg Horn. At the time, I owned that original cover art and wanted to see Jason's take on something like it. This was done on the back side of a slightly oversized artboard. It was a bit of a challenge to scan. Hopefully, it shows how gorgeous Jason's artwork is.

That was a GREAT period for Pearson (art). You are much better off with this rather than the Horn cover IMHO ;)

Very cool! Where Pearson does without the outline is so eyecatching of a detail because everywhere else is so buttoned up complete! The inkiness is so lush in areas to create layers of depth. The soles of her feet are so amazing after coming off those tiny ankles.
