DescriptionFor me Ron Frenz is THE Spider-Man Artist. While I bought a variety of Spider-Man comics as a kid - Ron was the guy on ASM when started buying comics off the news-stand. He was also the first comic artist I ever got to meet as a young 10 year old.So when I saw this cover come up (Oct 2021 release) - I was extatic to see my favorite Spidey Artist drawing new Spidey art over at Marvel. While I need to pick up the issue to learn more about these villains(U-Foes : thanks Will and Ruben!) - having Spidey and Ben Reilly Spidey on the cover made picking this piece of art up a no brainer. Also discovered that this cover parallels the cover to #74 (875) Ron Frenz drew with P.Parker Spidey in the same pose as Ben Reilly Spidey on this cover. See additional images to compare. Nice pick-up and have to agree that Frenz is great on Spidey! The villains are the U-Foes (Ironclad, Vapor, Vector and X-Ray) --1st appeared in Hulk #254.

I love the U-Foes, because they were some of the earliest Hulk villains I discovered when I first began collecting back in 1982. I even beat you to this cover, but just wasn't willing to pull the trigger on an impulsive purchase. Happy to see you got it though, it's Amazing!

Great Spidey Frenz cover example - cool homage but a great piece of art in its own right. 2 Spideys, and I love seeing the lesser know baddies get some play. Congrats, dukey!

Yeah man, this one checks off all the boxes. An extremely exciting piece. I have also been a huge fan of Ron Frenz since his days on ASM in the '80s, and I love his work on more contemporary titles like Spider-Girl, Amazing Spider-Girl, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up, and, well, ASM again! Huge congrats!

Fantastic cover. It's super busy but remains readable.
(Frenz wouldn't be my top Spidey artist but he would rank high enough)

Does the heart good to see Frenz still getting a chance to pump out modern work. He's THE Thor artist for me but I can see how crucial the era is to that prefernce. Congrats on the aquisition!

U-foes! Yesssss! I love this cover so much, it's a great call back to the old Marvel style, as Frenz does. And they're fighting Spideys, which is a fantastic switcheroo. I wonder how they match up? Gonna have to check it out. ;) Big congrats!

I want this and thats something I rarely say about covers. I am an interiors guy after being let down by covers promises compared to interiors reality over the years. I blame Marvel. Lying weasels. Lol. Must be U-Foes effect. Since I have not read this issue, does this even happen inside?

Excellent, modern but classic looking cover ! Always enjoyed Ron Frenz's Spidey and always considered Brett Breeding as one of his very best finishers !
