DescriptionIn all seriousness, if you had asked would I ever consider buying a Lois Lane cover before I saw this art, the answer would have been an easy no. I mean who wants this stuff? Now don't get me wrong - I am a Superman fan and loved the character played by Margot Kidder in the Superman films - but buying Lois artwork seemed a step too far. Those who pay attention - may call me out by saying - Hey D, what about the Swann/Oksner splash with Lois on it?! Fair point, but to me - that was bought as a Superman page. This one is all about the girls.Swing back to this particular cover. Before setting my eyes on this cover I knew very littel about Bob Oksner. That quickly changed as the site of this image set me off on a research trip to find out more about the artist and his work. The line work and anatomy on display really impressed me and I have become an Oksner fan since. When I first saw this art - I asked friends if I was crazy and they all agreed the art was not bad and they even heard of Oksner (boy was I green). Maybe they were just trying to be nice, you never know with friends in the hobby. No one wants to insult your likes. At the very least - it wasn't another Elflord. ha ha. Long story short I picked up this art and now I am happy to share it with all of you. Social/Sharing |

Now this is a Super... sexy bondage cover, surprisingly approved by CCA. Fantastic addition to your Gallery, congrats!

How could you say no to this triple bondage cover? Excellent pickup!

I'm guessing DC publisher Carmine Infantino slipped a little extra something into an envelope for the boys at the Comics Code Authority that week to let this cover make it to press. It's outstanding!

I think your friends were all telling it to you straight, because this is an outstanding cover. And may I just add... ooh la la and va va voom? I too have become a Bob Oskner fan through the years. Great addition!

Dude! 3 beautiful women in bondage and lots of gorgeous long legs....This cover is...beautiful? Sexy? At the high risk of sounding like a creep, I love it.
But...Line work my ass ;)

One of my greatest regrets is that I sold some really good Oksner art. This is a nice one.

Bondage 70's DC covers had a great demand and it was a trend that could be found in this title as well as Wonder Woman during the same time period. This one was always seen as a premium one being owned by a high profile comicbook dealer, now a Heritage guy, at one point. Oksner was known as a good girl artist when that wasn't yet a thing in DC and he always had this great line for the ladies.

Awesome pick up! I love Oksner. So underrated. I bought the Supergirl 10 cover by him and I love it. It's not going anywhere soon. And I don't collect Supergirl. So I know exactly how you feel. Great stuff!

With 3 women all tied up and one of them almost hogtied, I'd be very surprised if this cover wasn't listed in the Overstreet guide as a known bondage cover. Cool to see you finally land this after such a long time thinking about it. Oh, and Barry Blair Elflord > Oksner Lois Lane 😃

That's probably too much thighs to be SFW for the time period it was published in ;)
But great cover from a fantastic artist (love his works on hands which influenced many).

Theres got to be a gag here. There is, and bondage aplenty. A man about to play with his organ and three bound ladies. Who said comics corrupt innocent minds? Lol. Well drawn, twisted stuff. Who to blame? The writer or the artist? One had issues, or maybe both.

Has anyone mentioned bondage yet? Because bondage. ;) You are not crazy for discovering and digging this cover and Oskner work. There are a lot of 70s Super-Adjacent titles that are awesomely bizarre and cool, just like this one. It feels like pre-code horror work with that subject matter, and the work is great. Congrats!
