Description

Harvey. Winter, 1946.

A rare twice-up Golden-Age cover from a short-lived 3 issue title. Not my usual collecting focus, but several years back I began pickup up pieces that needed stat recreations and this one was more than affordable. The art board is large, the content is engaging and there's even a parrot smoking a cigar! The oldest piece of original comic book art in my collection.

I believe the art is by Larry Silverman, although it's not listed on the grandcomicdatabase or CGC.

I'm a firm believer in having a piece in your collection that is completely and inexplicably surprising when compared to one's regular collecting tastes. I think this one fits that bill perfectly.
