Description

The cover art for Judge Dredd Megazine issue 331. Two boys are clearly in trouble with the law after hitting Dredd with a snowball! The boys are aged about 9 or 10 and, yes, Dredd is very likely going to use his nightstick on them (according to Paul).

This is a delicate piece, as Paul favours working on 45g/m2 paper so that it is much easier to see through when he places it over his initial roughs/pencils art. He can then trace and tighten up the finished art onto the layout paper without having to use a lightbox.

Dredd's leg was drawn on another piece of paper and stuck on in place because Paul was not happy with the original way he had drawn it.

Paul has pencilled instructions to others around the edge of the piece about how he wishes it to be coloured and about watching for shadow from the stuck-on leg once it has been scanned into the computer.

Paui has signed the piece for me. He took a little persuading to sell it to me, but I'm so glad he did!
