Description

This was painted by Disney legend Floyd Norman in the mid-1960's while Floyd was working on Walt Disney's "The Jungle Book!" Floyd wrote to me the following:

"Yes, this watercolor sketch was done while I was still at The Walt Disney Studios.
Directing Animator, Ollie Johnston had completed the beautiful animation at the end of the movie. My storyboard partner, Vance Gerry and I were the only storyboard artists who enjoyed using watercolors. I think Vance did a sketch, and this was the finished watercolor sketch I did of the little girl."

Gorgeous! I was seriously eyeballing this one. Wish I had gone after it, but I'm glad you got it. One of my favorite Disney films as a kid.

Very jealous! My fave childhood film (still one my faves as a sort-of-grown-up!) and by Floyd no less.

Outstanding vintage work by Norman! The Disney look in full effect that still endures and inspires still to this day.
