DescriptionFans of Spidey may remember this cover because it was used as a retailer exclusive variant for participating comic shops where they could include their name on the banner. This kicked off the frenzy for ASM completionists to collect all 33 variants from participating shops. It was then decided to reuse this cover for the next issue which I don't think Ive seen before but hey, when you're THE flagship Marvel title for decades I guess you can do what you want.I also like how they have Spidey battling the Lizard in a comic shop the day when Ramos and Delgado are scheduled for signing! Oh wow! That is really unique. Wonder if this was a variant record at that time. Fantastic cover none the less!

Great cover Riz! And a really unique variant. I'd never heard of this before, so it's really cool to see all the variants this cover was used for.

Great to see you finally posting this awesome cover, Riz! And very cool that you posted those pics of ALL the different comic shop versions. Does this mean that you hunted them all down yourself? Cuz I know the collector in you would LOVE that challenge. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I was actually chatting with a few friends last night and they got me thinking of some of my earlier pickups.
And you know me too well Paul. At one point I did consider going for all of the variants but was sidetracked when OA came into the picture. Thanks to you I was able to atleast take a shortcut and nab the original!

Neat cover! And the Advertising Man in me loves the tie-ins for individual comic shops!

Wow! Man, a Spidey cover with the Lizard in it? Just wow. The cover looks like a regular comic book cover. Not the artsy stuff that we see nowadays and for that it's a winner in my book. Congrats bro!

That's awesome, dude! Jealous of this one. I'll always love Ramos ASM and his rendition here of the Lizard is uniquely cool. If I'm not wrong this might be the first, or close to it, published Ramos Lizard image. Congrats!
