DescriptionHello guys,Lobo finally started to be a very popular character after the HA auction last month. I would like to ask if you would to share with me your most favourite artist for Main Man and why. I think BIZ did most of the fantastic Lobo covers so I would like if we could to talk only about panel pages/artists. So I`m starting. I`ve been thinking a lot, as I love all those comic books by different artist and from my pov the winner is Dough Mahnke. The crossovers Mask/Lobo and Hitman/Lobo makes me several times to laugh out loud which any other did not. I think it was definitelly in due of crazy grimaces together with the brilliant story. ALso layout of panels are perfect and I`m not lost as it sometimes happening on Biz pages. Social/Sharing |

Biz will always be THE Main man, but in my book the second best (far above all your mentioned artists) was Martin Emond in his 3 Lobo oneshots and Alex Horley with his "Lobo Unbound" painted mini-series is also missing in your list ! Buy these few issues dear Caf comment reader :)

Haha ! I do know both artist/stories of course sir :) but in my tags missing many famous names but somehow was impossible to tag them all ! - MIke Mignola with the Universal Gladiators covers, Kam Kennedy with same comics etc. Anyway great point; I have to find Alex Horley book in my library and read it again :).

In my humble opinion: both mentioned artists were completely misplaced on Lobo, as they have an "edgy" style and rarely round forms/designs, especially Mignola, and although I'm a huge fan of almost of Cam Kennedy's work , especially his superb art on Star Wars "Dark Empire" I+II and Boba Fett oneshots, "Light and Darkness War" (all with pen + inks and his hard-to-top watercolors), also his great amount of amazing work at 2000AD, like his many Judge Dredd stories, but I felt his version Lobo himself simply akwward..! Nuff said (Urgh)
