Description

for the 6 Million Murderers ink about 10 by 12 on larger paper Morey got his start in the late 20's early 30's in the pulps but continued doing work into the 1960s for the mystery digests that followed

I am an expert on Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine 1956 - 1985. Above, this is page 96 of Sept 1958. Wolfie, with the knife, is about to kill Harry, whose father sits watching. (this doesn't happen) Shim, with the wide striped shirt, is also in the juvenile gang, "The Kings." None of this artwork is ever cropped to appear in future issues, it's a "one-only" drawing. Hundreds of Leo Morey drawings were cropped, resized, reversed, repeated for years, even after his death in 1965.
