Back in May 2017, Eric got some new pens and was looking to test out them out on his great Twitch stream. In order to do this, he asked the audience for character suggestions and as I've long wanted to see him do his version of Clayface (as already mentioned on my Joker piece), I suggested him, as I also figured he'd be a great character to try out a bunch of different textures with.
Eric chose my suggestion and got to work.
And, obviously, the drawing was amazing. So I asked him if I could buy it (figuring it'd be pretty inexpensive, as it was just a ten minute pen try-out piece). He was happy and said of course.

Then the next time I catch the stream, a few days later, he says that he wasn't happy with the first piece he did, so he drew me a new one (and, as I found out when I finally got the physical piece, he even did it on 11x14, instead of the regular 9x12!). Because he is simply an awesome guy!

But since Eric is also a busy guy, shipping would turn out to be an issue...

A HUGE round of thanks to Eric for doing these awesome pieces for me. He is a very busy guy, with real work and actual paid-for commissions to do. He didn't owe me anything, as no money had changed hands yet, but he still came through and did some amazing pieces of art for my collection!
Another big round of thanks to his art dealer, Jason Schachter, for giving me a very fair price on these two pieces, that grew way beyond a simple pen test ;-)
