Description

This cover brings me back to those wonderful exciting times in the early 1990's. A time in my life that the Image guys were rock stars and gods to the mortals that were caught up in the hype that surrounded them. I don't think that people who weren't old enough to have experienced the initial HIV/AIDS scare have a clue how far out on a limb Jim Valentino was to have his main character being infected with the virus. While dealing with those challenges, Mr. Valentino decides to inject race and racism into the mix too. Jim Valentino was a very gutsy man in the world of comics.

How often does the pivotal cover of one of your favorite characters fall in your lap? It can't be that often. It can't be that often that a new collector just happens to have a brother as lucky as mine.

Finally, I would like to thank both Mr. Valentino and Mr. Wolf - thank you both for taking the time out of your schedules to provide the information you did to my brother. Thank you!
