DescriptionBacklash is one of my favorite characters. I have three of Brett Booth’s Kindred pages. Back in 2018, I was fortunate to get a semi-splash Kindred page in an auction. I considered that a very big deal to add to my collection. Backlash/Kindred splash pages and covers just don’t come to market very often. Jump forward 6 years and two Brett Booth/Al Vey Backlash covers appear in a single 90’s artwork Comic Link auction. So, I stretched my budget and went after them with the hopes that one would become a part of my collection. At the end of the auction, this one found a new home!(I learned something via this acquisition. When you think that you’ll never get a cover done by the guy who created the one of your favorite characters, sometimes the wheel spins and a special treasure can fall into your lap. Never give up hope.) It has taken almost 7 years for this to become a part of my collection. What a grand day it has been! As always, thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

So happy for you to get something you've wanted for a long time! I know what that's like and a little stretch on the budget can make it all worthwhile! Many happy congrats on this beautiful Booth cover my friend!

Can't tell the story of the 90's without artwork like this! This was the Image look that all the other publishers tried to emulate and one with that Brett Booth's own unique flair in this movie poster composition.

Backlash was one of Wildstorm best reads back then and Booth's art was part of it.

Huge congrats! It's home :) Not hard to see why this was a big one for you, just by looking at it. Full cast, great composition (movie poster vibe), and killer detail!

congrats, this is a fantastic cover, one of my favourites from the series. Backlash and Taboo are my favourite characters from any comic, fantastic to see this in black and white!
