Description

For my 51st cover being posted here on CAF, I decided to go with the George Perez multi character cover to the UltraVerse crossover Break-Thru #2. The cover date was Jan 1, 1994. That�s approximately 10 years after his run on The New Teen Titans comes to an end.

The cover highlights that Prime and his ultra team are battling Hardcase and his ultra team. Perez drew Book, Amber Hunt, Choice, Mantra, Prototype, Firearm, Solitaire, Night Man, Atom Bob, Sludge, Warstrike, Mustang, Meathook, and others on this cover.

I�m never going to own a Perez cover from his Teen Titans work, and I�m good with that. I�ve got a wonderful example of his work from a period that I was heavily reading and collecting them. To me, that�s a huge win. Toss in that this is my second Perez cover from his Malibu Comic�s phase of his career and I�m a content guy.

Amazing Perez Malibu throwdown cover! The hyper detail is all there with this line wide crossover! It really put Perez's talent to the test as we get a universe's worth of characters in this!

While Perez may have regretted his indep output of the 90s, the quality was still always present and the Ultraverse was fun and fresh, so this is a great addition.

I agree! This is a great example of a professional that does the job to the best of his abilities no matter how he looked at the characters.

This has some absolute proportions. Nicely detailed cover as Perez can only do it.
