Description

Abbett was on of the master gouache (opaque watercolor) paperback cover painters of the 1960's. Probably best known for his great ERB Tarzan and John Carter PB covers.

I love Bob Abbett! He's a very underrated painter. He did some of my favorite paperback covers. Sad that he recently died. Nice one!

Yeah, I'm a huge fan. Owned many pieces over the years. I knew that he was legally blind in recent years, but I had no idea that he had died. Bummed

I just checked and it was June 2015 that he passed away. Time flies. I'll have to list some of my pieces to share.

So giant I couldn't find it. Haha. I looked but didn't see it. I don't do Facebook but went on through my wife's so I must have missed something. But i did see that Jack Harris died. Bummer. Equinox is in my top five favorite films of all time, and 4d Man is in my top 20!
