DescriptionSuch a pivotal and historic issue! One of the most important New Teen Titans issues in the series! Dick Grayson quits Robin to become Nightwing (which we find out later). Wally retires! And Tara and Slade together, in a way you did not expect!!!!!! Leading into Judas contract! This page is sooooooooo pivotal! This issue so powerful! I'm so lucky to have. Thanks to Mike Burkey for selling to me!"I can't. Don't you see? Robin will always be the back half of "Batman and --". But Robin belongs with Batman fighting at his side. Trouble is -- I don't." — Robin More info: Synopsis for "Crossroads" Acting on information provided by Bethany Snow, the Teen Titans invade an Alaskan way station of Brother Blood's cult, and find proof of his political backing of certain senators and congressmen, which they turn over to the authorities. Terra secretly reports the Titans' activities to the Terminator, and she and the Terminator fight a mock battle to test each other's powers. At the next Titans meeting, Kid Flash appears in civilian garb as Wally West and formally announces that he is leaving the team. After goodbyes are said, Robin unexpectedly announces that he too is giving up his costumed identity—not because he is retiring, as Kid Flash is, but because he intends to take on a new guise, as yet undecided, which will identify him more as the Titans' leader than as the Batman's junior partner. Unknown to the Titans, all of this information is being relayed to the Terminator by Terra, so that he too now knows Robin and Kid Flash's true identities. Social/Sharing |

An Absolutely Memorable page not only for the content but the stunning layout and brilliant art. Perez Teen Titans at its Peak! If the were One Single page that I could pick to have from the Entire Run, it would be This One❣️❣️❣️

ABSOLUTE CLASSIC! Nick, when this came out, do you remember how the reveal was so shocking that the comics press could only talk about the fact that they were both in cahoots, but almost nothing was spoken about the fact that Slade was making sexy time with a 13 year old? Or was it 16? Either way, NOT a good look these days, but still beautiful and so memorable. Congrats!

yeah, no one was talking about that back then. Today, it would be a different story.

I saw your post on facebook and I popped up here instead. This is a beautiful page. Nothing but baddies taking their leisure to plot with Perez on the pencils and inks makes this even more special. Congrats good buddy.

Terra is supposedly 16 years old during "The Judas Contract."
I would argue that this is one of the most groundbreaking, iconic (controversial?), mainstream comic book pages of all time.
As a teen in 1984, this page that made a dent in my brain - It was pure shock and awe. And I am not alone. Brad Meltzer's own work in "The Identity Crisis" twenty years later also has some serious gravity to it. Brad wrote about this page in a wonderful blog he titled "How I Spent My Summer Vacation With The Judas Contract."
In the blog, Meltzer writes "Terra betrayed me. She deceived me. She shoved a knife in my belly and sliced upward all the way to my heart. And at fourteen years old, I loved every minute of it."
Meltzer's work on Identity Crisis led to the erosion of the Justice League and all the dark turns in Infinite Crisis. I wonder how much of this can be traced to Terra breaking Brad's heart twenty years earlier?
