DescriptionWrap-around cover to the Andy Mangels authored book produced to benefit CBLDF - the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. I've seen this on Michael Lovitz's CAF Gallery for years, and want to thank him for finally allowing me to be the caretaker.Created as a fund-raiser for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, this volume sports a cover that features many of the characters Pérez has drawn in his long and storied career in comics. By my count, there are 133 character heads on this piece of art... and I may have missed one or two! A staggering example of this artist's attention to detail. The original art was created in eight columns of art rendered in ink on 17" x 11" Talk about the ultimate crossover cover - Avengers, Titans, JLA, JSA, Thanos, Maestro, Logan's Run, Fantastic Four, Crisis, Inhumans, X-Men, Ultraforce, Thunder Agents, O.M.A.C., Doom Patrol, Metal Men, Deathlok, White Tiger, Man-Wolf, Jack of Hearts, Legion of Superheroes, Crimson Plague, iBots and more! And of course The Flash! Green Lantern! If only Daredevil and Sub-Mariner were here!!!!!! (Edit, wishful thinking on Sub-Mariner. It's OMAC). Social/Sharing |

For all the years I followed George's art, there are still jaw-dropping pieces that show up that I'd never seen before. These deepen my love for his work and make me more appreciative of what he brought to the table with each and every page.

Wow! I didn't notice that you had added this cover to your amazing collection. What a phenomenal piece! George Perez was truly one of the true masters of comic art. This piece showcases some of the many characters Perez made his mark on. Seeing them all on display in this one masterpiece reminds us just how great Perez really was. Congratulations on a great pick-up!
