DescriptionFor Jack's 100th Birthday - I want to show a piece of art I bought directly from Jack and Roz. The only Jack Kirby art I had bought around 24'ish years ago would be from Roz and Jack. I liked the idea of giving them the money. Jack earned it.It's a great piece of Jack with 3 different universes - Marvel, DC and Kirby-Verse. Love it with the Newsboy Legion behind him. Its a great feeling giving directly back to the artist who gave us so much. Great piece.

What a highlight of collecting that trip must have been. I was collecting art at the time, but had not worked my way back in time to Kirby. That would come about a decade later

Meeting Jack and Roz was meeting comic book royalty. Jack was signing books for us and Roz and Jack were very kind to let me purchase the art.

Such a great piece. Do you know who inked it? The final cover sure took some liberties with Jack's pencils on Jack himself, whose face looks much better in the original art.

Huh--I can see that now in the ink lines on some of the main figures, and overall, he did a nice job, but I really dislike what he did with Jack's face.
If ever there's a part of the King's pencils you should be very faithful, it's when he draws himself...
