Description

Ron Garney is one of the best artists the comics industry has ever had. His run on Captain America with Mark Waid is stellar. Both runs. Very few can say that.

I can't express how lucky I feel to have been able to pick up this cover a few years ago.

This story is isochronic with a previously untold Captain America adventure. The previous story occurred between Captain America #102 and Captain America #103. The 2001 adventure actually occurs in the future (note the 1998 publishing date of this issue), after Steve Rogers has met and begun a relationship with Connie Ferrari. In this issue, Ferrari is referred to only as "Connie".

This story is the first mention of Steve Rogers later romantic interest: Connie Ferrari.

In this story, Sharon Carter is named the new Director of SHIELD.
