Description

Probably the first piece of art I bought directly from Jae almost 28 years ago. Who would have known all of those years ago we would bond and he would become my best friend, and I would end up best man at his wedding. Such a GREAT execution of Namor's face with the Fantastic Four with Dr. Doom in the top left hand side!

One of my favorite series, from John Byrne's time writing and drawing the series to Jae's taking over.

This is it...the final confrontation between two former allies. It's the mighty Sub-Mariner vs. Doctor Doom for the fate of the world, and only one of them is walking away.

Cameos by Namorita, Iron Fist, and the Daughters of the Dragon.

This is so METAL. I can almost hear some heavy metal tune rockin' in my head just by looking at this wonderful work of art. Lee's early work blew me away as a kid, but this page escaped me since I didn't read his Namor work regularly. At some point, I HAVE to find a page of his early work one day, especially if it looks as bad ass as this. Thank you for not only sharing this page, but also some details of your personal relationship with Lee.

Great early Jae art from his his first longer comic run, with a superb cast of classic cool Kirby characters, huge congrats ! But still: this one should be in my humble collection, not yours :)
