DescriptionDaredevil is one of my all time favorite characters! John Romita Jr. is one of my all time favorite artists AND is one of the best Daredevil artists of all time! And Scott Hanna inking John is just awesome! Scott is one of John's best inkers, and he definitely gave the Al Williamson vibe here!More info on the story: HE WAGES OF SIN EQUAL DEATH! For months, Matt Murdock, his loved ones and his allies have been plagued by demons and devils of unknown origin! As the mystery surrounding the supernatural forces targeting Matt and those he loves the most has at last begun to become clear, the stage is set for Daredevil's greatest foe to return to Hell's Kitchen, bigger and badder than ever! Kingpin looks good on any cover. But it's always a special treat to see him sharing a scene with DD. Even though he jumped ship from Spidey's universe into DD's universe, it's all good. It's one big Marvel family after all.

A fantastic cover not only showing Kingpin looming over the figure of Daredevil, but also symbolizing how he looms (and will always loom) over Daredevil's life in general. That's a lotta looming. Maybe they should change his name to Loompin. Oompa Loompin. They could recast the part to Hugh Grant. Wow this comment sure went a bit astray haha! Shows how my mind works...Anyway, great cover!!

DD, Elektra, and Kingpin, Romita - a grand slam, hat trick with a two point conversion!

Awesome Daredevil #12 cover with the return of Kingpin by John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna! I love this image of the Kingpin looming above and behind DD like a thunderhead cloud rising behind him. I'm reminded a bit of the cover to Amazing Spider-Man #249, which was also drawn by JrJr. It's a terrific image and a warning of storms to come. Great pick-up, congrats

Yes, very reminiscent of the ASM 249 cover.
FYI, Byrne illustrated the ASM 249 cover, not JR Jr

Pretty much everything you could want in a Daredevil cover —beyond the principle heroes and villains is a neo-classic tribute to fine art (the Pieta).

Takes you back, doesn't it?! When I think "JRJR", "DD" is what I think first and images like this are why. Congrats!
