Description

11 x 17" watercolor on Arches hot press watercolor paper.

Dan and I discussed several possibilities for this piece before he settled on the Marauders. Watching his process on instagram, it was obvious he wanted to get into all those nooks and crannies on Scalphunter's costume.

This piece features the entire roster from the Mutant Massacre: Scalphunter, Blockbuster, Arclight, Riptide, Malice, Scrambler, Harpoon, Vertigo,Prism, and Sabretooth.

as a kid i didnt start picking up the uncanny x-men until the fall of the mutants so the mutant massacre were back issues to me. amazing stuff! i remember the story being incredible, these villains were nasty and the artwork unstoppable. the artist run of this entire series has been something to behold. terrific commission!
