21.5x27.5" frame contains acrylic on board painting by legendary Fantasy/Sci-Fi artists The Brothers Hildebrandt for the 1995 "Marvel Illustrated: The Swimsuit Issue," Marvel Comics' take on the popular "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue." The publication featured paintings of Marvel's most popular characters at play, sporting swimsuits and bikinis. Art features wildly popular '90s X-Men couple Rogue and Gambit swimming underwater amidst brightly colored coral. Rogue's bikini top has X-Men "X" symbol. Painted 1995. The Brothers Hildebrandt's composition perfectly compliments these two characters, who remain popular among X-Men fans. Art has been signed at bottom left and has been professionally matted and framed. Frame shows lt. wear, but art remains NM and is ready for display.
