DescriptionSOLD AT AUCTION FOR $1,416!12x15-5/8" mat features single panel from Nov. 16, 1958 Sunday page No. 1136, panel measuring 7.75x11.5". Panel features art by legendary "Prince Valiant" artist Hal Foster (1892-1982), showing Aleta stripped down to her shift, about to take a swim in pool as Queen Guinevere's twins Karen and Valeta pull at her. Attendant is seen bringing towels in bkg. Hand-lettered text panel is paste-over at bottom. Foster has signed art at upper right. Art remains clean and Exc. Ready for framing.
