Beautiful piece from the gentle way the pencils depict this cold and serene place! It still has an aura of evil with the monster face.

I remember when this surfaced on eBay one of Franks granddaughters was selling misc. Frazetta pieces, possibly for their parent , all real and right. These were real Frazetta artworks. I got a few myself. This one i missed and it was a real low price. This was several years ago now. They didn't know or remember it was in the film, it was just sold as Frazetta pencil drawing. It's really nice!!!

Thanks for replying John. I admit when I won this on Heritage I wondered if most bidders assumed it wasn't real due to how low it went. Given 20k for a random sabretooth in the same auction, 2k for this seemed like a great price. I assume no signature helped the price stay low as well. But since it was actually used on screen it was worth the 2k to me even if not by Frazetta. Appreciate you confirming with the ebay story though. I didn't see it then.

This was entirely drawn by Frank. They didn't know or remember it was in the movie. These came with a certificate of authenticity as I remember. They were selling real stuff by Frank. You have to be very careful. It was a real low price too like $400. I remember getting a watercolor eggman as sraen by Frank left handed. That was real too. That was signed. Even though this isn't signed this is 100% redl Frazetta, just beautifully done pebils. Wrightson could do nice orncul stuff like this too, as witnessed by much film work he did that way. Nice piece!
