Description

Out of the many breathtaking splashes Ivan did for Blackest Night, this still remains one of my most memorable when I first read the series. This title splash dramatically shows Sinestro (inhabiting the White Lantern) striking down on Necron's sythe with a massive sword. Hal Jordan follows in pursuit in the background while the battle erupts among piles of rubble. A truly magnificent page from a modern classic event!

Blackest Night culminated Geoff Johns' seminal run that brought Green Lantern back to prominence within the DCU. The epic event remains the apex of his career in my opinion. It combines the rich history and mythology of the character with some great modern day storytelling that will be held in high regard and will stand the test of time.

I remember this image distinctly! Lots of energy, detail, just an overall great DPS. I'm a Sinestro fan so it was very cool seeing him take on the White Lantern mantle (however short!) and go toe to toe with the primary antagonist. Congrats on a great pick up!
