Description

Giant "Life Size" Poster Batman published in 1978 by German resp. Danish DC licence "Ehapa-Verlag" for German language market. Licensee Ehapa-Verlag published DC Comics for German language market without interruption from Sept. 1966 to Dec. 1985.

Poster size:
length: 70.15 inch
width: 24.72 inch

The poster shows at the bottom the following imprint: (c) 1978 DC Comics Inc.

Poster originally never was offered for sale by the above mentioned European
DC licensee: you could only get it "for free" by cutting out the coupons from the German DC books and send them to publisher Ehapa-Verlag. These European DC promo items were never published for the US-market!

The Batman motive here for the poster was taken from DC's 1978 Calendar of Super-Spectacular Disasters (last calender page, December 31).

Thank you for 'rare' data info! To find the data here resp. that the Batman motive for the poster was publ. in a late 70's US-DC-calender is not easy to locate for European collectors: the early European DC-licensees never or very seldem gave data from which US-material they took the stories/motives ! Great! Thanks!
