I was lucky enough to visit Jon Berk a few years back. Looking over his amazing collection of comics and original art, there were a few pieces that stood out, and this was one of them. When I saw that ComicConnect was going to be auctioning off Jon's collection, I was initially sad at the thought of breaking up such an amazing historical treasure trove, but then became excited at the idea that I might be lucky enough to snag one of those pieces of history. I love this page, from the strong brushwork to the goofy aliens to the deco-ish center bottom panel.

Incredible splash page Roger, and really enjoyed hearing the story of how it came into your collection.

Doolin is a favorite of mine too and I actually own page 2 of this same story!
