This is actually page 6 from this book's second story called The Call of Duty: The Precinct Preview. Dave Finch is an exceptionally nice friendly guy and great artist. Chatting with him at the NYC Comic Con a number of years ago brings back some fun memories.

In the wake of 9/11, titles and one shots were made to highlight the positive aspects of first responders and how their bravery carried the day over tragedy. Great artists were given these assignments and they did great work, but the genre didn't last as more took to fantasy with the reality of war on terror and fear loomed over everything. Finch creates a great tense scene to free the hostage.
