Description

Frank Miller's Daredevil is one of my all time favorite series EVER! Not Daredevil series, series ever! I once had a page from #181, and foolishly traded it. One of the biggest regrets in my collecting. I try not to regret any of my decisions because you can't go back, but this one still stings. And with the price of Frank Miller art today, I wouldn't be able to get it back. Never would I have imagined that someone could ever draw an homage to this cover that would be so striking and have it's own mesmorizing magic to it!

Then enter Frank Cho and his homage to the CLASSIC cover to Daredevil #181!

I've seen this cover multiple times, and at NYCC I was fortunate in that Frank (Cho) gave me a print of it and personalized it to me. Little did he know that that was the push I needed to give thought to buying this cover! I reached out to Steve Morger, and he put me in touch with Frank, and then Frank asked me to talk to Doug Peters, and Doug gave me a nudge, and low and behold, I'm getting this.

That is the LONG WAY of saying how much I LOVE this cover, and am so glad that I decided to pull the trigger!

I keep waiting for the word balloons espousing some classic Cho choice words. All joking aside, this is so incredibly well done. The Cho line art and shading elevate this to a CHOice piece.

Frank by Frank! Stunning re-imagining of the classic cover to Daredevil #181! In Frank Cho's hands, the scene takes on a whole new tone, a little less brutal and a little more artful. Anyway, Epic pick-up!

Love it, Nick! Clear homage but just as clearly a Cho piece. Like the grey tone media for DD int the background and Elektra being in her DD outfit is the perfect change-up! Congrats!
