DescriptionOK, this is a long one, but I may be able to quit collecting original art after this! I REALLY CANNOT believe I finally have this in my collection! I've wanted this cover for 27 years! Some back story, and it's been 27 years, so forgive me if my memory is not 100% accurate on it.Frank was writing and drawing Sin City: Family Values. I was asked to work with Dark Horse to create a DF Cover to help sell more and bring awareness to the book. It's Frank, how can I say no? Things were tight, and it was a risk at the time since it was not a $1.99 or $2.50 per comic investment, it was an Original Graphic Novel investment! Side note, I interviewed Frank for Previews Magazine to help promote this, and during the interview, Frank said, "are you typing the answers? Why don't you get a tape recorder and have someone else type it up later? I did, but couldn't tell Frank I didn't have anyone to type it up, so did it myself. Either way, I was typing it! I wanted the cover, and even if it was for sale at the time (which I can't remember), it was 1997 when the industry was struggling, and I couldn't afford to buy it. Eventually when I had some money again in 1999, I tried to buy it, but it was not available. Albert had it for a bit, and then sold it, and it was in Heritage, but I was not as active at the time. Finally this past October, it became available. I wanted it, but could not budget it right now, so sold a big piece to pay for it. I'll miss the piece I sold, but am soooooooo happy to finally have this cover! And hey, it's deadly little Miho! PS - I don't really think I can stop collecting, but it sure is an interesting thought! PPS - the Dynamic Forces catalog from 1997 has been hanging in my office for 27 YEARS as a reminder of how much I LOVE this cover, and how meaningful it is to me, and it's why it's below the art itself! As I said, I had to sell something big, but man, worth it! Social/Sharing |

Deadly little Miho, the coolest of all the Sin City characters! A great piece by Frank Miller and made even better so due to the connection it has to Dynamic Forces and your interview of Frank. This piece has finally found its proper resting place. Congrats, Nick!
