Description

Beautiful early Mickey Mouse Daily by the definite Mouse Man, Floyd Gottfredson. This comes from the 19th Mickey Mouse continuity (YM 019) “The Crazy Crime Wave”, which was the very first Daily storyline to feature Goofy (still called Dippy Dawg). According to my records, this seems to be the 2nd oldest known surviving Mickey Mouse/Gottfredson Daily and Disney comic artwork in general featuring Goofy. In addition you have wonderful shots of Mickey (even holding a gun!!! - not many of these in existence) and the villains...what more could one ask for? :-))
First published December 28th 1933 (not 1934 as seen on the King Features paper label)...these early dailies were extra large, with this example measuring a whooping 73,5cm x 19,2cm!!!
