DescriptionAt this point, it's safe to say Romita Jr and Janson are an incredible team up! :)I loved reading JRjr's Iron Man and ESPECIALLY Daredevil when I was growing up. The inks on this are unsurprisingly inspired. I mean, Janson. The style feels like something out of a silver age book (thanks Nick!). It's been suggested it's a Fantastic Four #51 homage. Is this a face off with the Thing? Hmm, or perhaps a bait and switch! Abomination! This little 2 issue arc ("Dear Betty.../Always On My Mind") is an exceptionally great story and on many (stopped counting at 6) top 10 lists of Best Hulk Stories. Read it if you haven't! SyFy puts it at #3 and sums it up nicely - "John Romita, Jr. draws it all with brutal clarity and power, with every blow landing like an artistic thunderclap. It's a short, satisfying story with a savagely poetic sense of finality to it, and one of the most visually powerful and crushing fight scenes you'll ever see in a comic book." Social/Sharing |

Love the look of this cover. The hulk never looked more solid and the black background really highlights that. Congrats!

Dude you're killing it with these recent 2 adds. I do think JRJR can be hit or miss and this is in the former category in a BIG way! Janson inks definitely accentuate. Just love the grandness of the image, with Hulk looking big and bad, and I've always dug JRJR's blockier look for the Hulk - just flat out works. Sincere congrats, Anthony!
