Tony Moore does not miss. It�s an absolute truth maybe even more solid than the sun rises in the east. I couldn�t sleep the night I saw his commission list open. I knew some devastating work was headed my way. Incredible stuff! Each square inch is a commission onto itself. So much detail, effort and talent wrapped up in a silly one character full background request.

His take on IG:

This was a challenging, but very fun commission. The request was for VAMPIRELLA, but with more focus on her horror aspects than her typical pinup appeal. The character in infused with unavoidable sexuality, by Trina Robbins' design, and I've made no secret of the difficulty that I have drawing attractive women. It's actually very stressful for me, because it's such a delicate process. Fortunately, piling on the monster horror was easy for me, though i did want to make sure that i also captured that balance of sensuality and gore that is the essence of all vampires' appeal, in my own ramped-up way.

Vampi done right if you follow the horror roots of her original concept. Quite intense.
