Description

When Chan took over the art duties from Buscema, the strips from Oct 22nd to somewhere between November 4th-9th have 2 sets of original art. Why? The inkwash and detail that Chan did originally, were to detailed to show up on newspaper and needed to be drawn simpler for print. The first versions have the mentioned inkwash with hand lettered words and are on slightly longer doushade artboard, the 2nd version have the words pasted on and are on the standard marvel artboard cut in half.

I was very lucky to bring these two back together!

The first is more bad girl with more adult facial features for a sultry look. The second is a more good girl approach. I'd have to leave that preference to the eternal barbarian Archie "Conan" Andrews to see which one he likes best.

I loved the Red Sonja appearances in the Conan strip. The detail in the unpublished version is amazing. It is great being able to see both versions together. Thanks for posting them.
