Boston Comic Con 2019

Ok, story time...
I finally got the chance to meet the man, the myth, the legend in person at Boston Comic Con 2019. I knew I wanted either a page or an inked piece and I was lucky to score the Hellboy vs Octopus inked pin-up (see my other gallery). I probably had 30 things I brought with me to get signed, so I ended up standing in his line a bunch during the weekend since I didn't want to be the one person holding up the line with everything.

During my last trip to his booth on Sunday, I had just gotten my sketchbook back from Jason Alexander (see the Karl Kroenen) and wanted to show it off to Mike in hopes he'd sign and maybe do a little doodle within. He flipped through the book for a few minutes and we spoke about different pieces within and the various artists. When he got to the end of the book he put on his glasses, grabbed a pen, and leaned back in his chair. I pretty much just stood there with a dumb look on my face while Mike sketched this Skull Guy in my book for free.

Now that's a stamp of approval if I've ever seen one!
