DescriptionTHE THING (1982)24" x 33.5" mixed media - acrylic paints and coloured pencils on board The temperature just dropped to -34 below and my paranoia level just got turned up to 11. One of the most iconic Horror movie posters of our time. THE THING poster was created by Drew over a weekend, with little supporting material from the studio in the development of the piece. It was a whirlwind of creativity and freedom that gave birth to this magnificent image of the "Man" with the light exploding from his face. The freezing cool colours and the mystery of what is happening in the image give away nothing about the movie but says everything about it at the same time. A true testament to the great design and power of the image. Social/Sharing |

Wow. Just wow. It doesn't get much more "classic horror" than this.

Wow, sometimes you drop in to see one thing and find something competely unexpected. It is a fantastic image that both recalled the monster from the original movie and signaled its closer adaptation to the source material but, as you wrote, all without giving anything away any of the surprises that awaited the audience.

Great artwork from one of my favorite films. You lucky dog. You may need to see a doctor though, very soon, as your left hand, on the right side of the photo) appears to be dead! Thats the danger of ' The temperature just dropped to -34'
