DescriptionAmazing splash of the historic moment (alongside X-Men #25) when MAGNETO rips the adamantium from Wolverine's bones. This moment results in the revelation that WOLVERINE has bone claws. In reaction to this unfathomable act, Prof. X wipes Magneto's mind. This event spawn the existence of ONSLAUGHT, who would plague the Marvel Universe for decades. A key moment in Marvel history that shaped Marvel continuity directly for years, and one of the most famous events in all of X-Men history. Wolverine left the X-Men and didn't get his adamantium back until 2000. Magneto wasn't seen for 7 years after this. Amazing art, on massive twice-up board. From the climax of the epic "Fatal Attractions" crossover event. The rare piece that has all the elements - historical impact, storytelling impact, major characters, an A-list artist associated with them. Signed by Adam Kubert. Social/Sharing |

Wow. Super key moment as only Kubert can render! The Wolverine looks crazy good, but love that zoomed in headshot of Mags just as much. Congrats!

Have to agree with Kahlil. Looking at the original here, my favorite part is Magneto's his eyes and specifically the lighting on them. The whites of Erik's eyes are essentially black and there is this sinister, demonic inversion. But I love the shadow of the point on his helmet shadowing his eye on the right there. It's a great, unique touch.
Phenomenal inking and pick-up overall. Thanks for sharing, dude!

Huge page and history piece from one of the most famous X characters, Wolverine! Absolutely beautiful and fortunate to have my own piece from this historic issue.

A pivotal moment for Wolverine on par with all the big 90's traumatizing moments of death, broken back, going insane, etc. that shook up the comics landscape with major sales. Kubert's splash is stuck in our minds and relives the key moment in excruciating detail!

Gorgeous page by Andy Kubert! Love the piercing eyes of Magneto at the top of the page. And the rendering of the adamantium being pulled from Wolverine's skeleton is shocking! Beautiful inks by Dan Green as well. Great pick-up!

A wonderful splash where Wolverine is stripped of Adamantium.
