DescriptionBUT THOUGH MY BODY MAY BE IMPRISONED, NONE CAN STOP MY MAGIC POWERS FROM ROAMING THE UNIVERSE IN SEARCH OF REVENGE!- Loki A page from the first appearance of The Avengers, this page Loki, Thor, Jane Foster, and The Hulk. A key page in the formation of the Marvel Universe. This is the page where Loki forms his plan to trick Thor into fighting the Hulk. This event directly led to the formation of the Avengers. Here, Thor, in the form of Doctor Don Blake, is making his first appearance outside of the Journey to Mystery title, and the same is true for Loki. And the Hulk had been seen outside of his series just once before. We even get a cameo by Jane Foster who actually becomes Thor. Signed by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Dick Ayers. Social/Sharing |

Well, that's pretty noteworthy. Many things to love here. For me the Hulk panel is particularly nice.

Truly historic - the story reverberates even in today's comics ... and the love of the creators for these characters shows.

It was such a clever artistic idea to have those eerily floating eyes hovering over various scenes as we, the reader, got to follow Loki's thought processes as he formulated his mischievous plan. Amazing page!!

One eye buys two eyes. You only needed one to complete the set.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor. I sleep on a pillowcase with a color image of this page. Nuff said. Historic, awesome, beautiful. Excelsior!

Page 2 really gets right into it! Loki's eyes are omnipresent as the evil force that unites the heroes! Stan and Jack's major pillar in the house of ideas!

Is there really much more you can expect from collecting original Art than to come up with this kind of treasure? No, I won't try to answer...

The King! Wow, what an incredible page from the early days of Marvel! Kirby masterfully related the story through depicting the most menacing eyes in comic book history. Magnificent!

Ayers was an exceptional inker for Kirby, which is highlighted by the raw emotion captured in that sequence of eyes. Congratulations on acquiring such a historic and moody page.
