DescriptionOne thing I love about this hobby is that people have a wide variety of tastes and usually build collections based on what they personally like. Since there are probably literally 1,000,000 pages and covers available, we've got a lot to choose from! The pages on my "grail list" might not make your Top 1,000 and vice versa. But we all collect for what the art looks like. We collect for what the words on the page say. Some (not me) collect as an investment. I am largely a "nostalgia collector." I like the stories and the art that impacted me in the 80s and 90s. The ones that stick with me, clear as day, 25 or 35 years later. And with *maybe* one exception, this page is the image most indelibly searing into my mind. It's my favorite page from one of the best comic series ever. It's Jesse and Tulip. It's quite literally romance over violence. And it's a promise of love until the end of the world.I signed up on CAF to ask Alex B if he'd sell this page. It was the first message I sent, and he of course said no! For me, the next best thing was a Glenn Fabry "cover quality" painted version of the piece, which I have posted here and is also great. But of course it wasn't Steve Dillon's original. Alex has a great story behind how and why he came to own it, and I never thought he'd part with it. I'm incredibly grateful that he did. I guess I need to quit believing the term "I'll NEVER sell" when I hear/read it.
Congrats!

That's great! It's the best when you can get a page that means a lot personally!
