DescriptionSteve Lightle drew this incredible piece of art for me.When I was a kid I picked up Doom Patrol #1 and was in awe of Celsius. She was so unique. Swarthy, blue eyed Indian leader of the Doom Patrol and not some cultural cliche. Married, modern, immortal, and sleek... Could you imagine her teamed up with Booster Gold or Bwana Beast? or timid Princess Tora Olafsdottir- Ice? or Amanda Waller??? The INSANITY....she had potential to grow. Steve said he wanted modern heroine and for the arc he was in she certainly was. I just love this page. I never knew fate would allow me to become friends with Steve Lightle , who is one of the great artists in comics. Social/Sharing |

Thank you. Its an incredible piece. Id LOVE Steve to do in a similar style of 3 uniforms Negative Woman and Tempet too...or different artist BUT the same format. Shes a well rounded character with history- so much more that others...yet today shes forgotten.

I just love this. I hope to get other artists to draw in a similar format Tempest and Negative Woman.

Wonderful art, and nice gallery! I understand the affinity for unique characters who disappear from comics.

Its funny...when you ask artsits to draw her they really do beautiful work compared to Batmans Spidermans Supermans etc...because shes so exotic and they enjoy the challenge.

Yes. I love so many of them...they exist somewhere.

Really nice. Great idea for a commission! I agree that it would be great to have Tempest and Negative Woman as well.

Steve Lightle was a great artist. I love both his composition and his rendering. And certainly this piece is a gorgeous example of his talent!
