DescriptionHistoric first appearance page of Big Barda, written and drawn by Jack Kirby back in 1971.Besides the historic significance, this page has some great aspects that drew me to it. 1) Top panels have Cover images, showing how Mr. Miracle escaped from the Death Trap 2) the middle panel is the "money shot". I love the imagery of Scott and Barda being surrounded by the dragon demon 3) Jack Kirby's signature in the middle panel is the "cherry on top of the sundae". That's awesome! 4th World was Kirby in complete control and this was some of his finest. Big Barda is certainly one of the more prominent characters to come out of this as she represents an alternative strong female character to Wonder Woman and can be used in comic guest appearances more readily.

In your description, is money shot really an appropriate term to use for someone who later appeared in a porn movie (in a superman comic no less) and had a scene with Superman? Lol. Lovely Kirby work.

The Escape! This Mister Miracle page has about everything you'd want. Him plying his "trade," great Kirby visual storytelling, Kirby monsters, Barda, and the Mr Miracle tech. It doesn't get much better than that. What a score. Big congrats!

Such a cool, Kirby creation 1st appearance, Jordan. But a great as this page is, it still pales in comparison to how great it is to listen to exhude passion as you speak about your art!

Wow! Huge congrats! First appearance?! Barda is seriously one of the best designs ever in comics. The King doin' his thang for sure in terms of design, illustration, AND storytelling.. Love that middle panel with her and MM!
