DescriptionThis twice up panel page from Brave and the Bold #29 was drawn by Mike Sekowsky way back in 1959 (see additional pic of the Copyright stamp dated Dec 11, 1959).I also posted a pic of the back of the page...where Mike sketched his layout for the page. This page is historic for many reasons: 1) 2nd appearance of the JLA team 2) Very 1st time they are fighting a villain together 3) one of the earliest pages where we see the entire team together 4) 1st appearance of the first JLA villain (Weapons Master) I am very lucky to be the caretake for such a historic page. Big Mahalo to Mitch from Graphic Collectibles for making this happen. In the CAF Update #109, I shared a weekly flip of my pages I have not posted to my CAF gallery yet. This page tied with my Uncanny X-men #167 by Paul Smith as getting the most votes to be posted first. Mahalo to everyone who watched and voted. Social/Sharing |

A silver age gem featuring the whole team. 63 years old. Makes you wonder just how many pages are even out there. An unbelievable addition to an already unbelievable collection. Very well done, my friend.

Fabulous part of history that was at the dawn of the Silver Age! Without these issues bringing in this all star team, the superhero genre for both DC and Marvel may not have flourished and climbed to the heights we recognize today.

Such an incredible find! It's so great to see art from this area, especially ones with this kind of magical content.

I was on Team Nick voting to get this one on CAF! While I didn't care for Sekowsky when reading these in reprints as a kid, I can now appreciate the special Silver Age magic he brought.
