Description

Cyborg Superman is revealed to be one of the most evil forces in the DC Universe as he single-handedly destroys Coast City, California, the long-time home of the Silver Age Green Lantern Hal Jordan and seven million other residents. Tragedy on a scale not seen since Crisis on Infinite Earths.

This event kicked off the famed Emerald Twilight storyline and had lasting ramifications for the DC Universe for decades. While Hal Jordan lived, the event drove him insane so he turned dark and killed all of the other members of the Green Lantern Corps. For a decade Jordan was replaced by a new Green Lantern named Kyle Rayner. The destruction of Coast City and all of its residents was never undone.

A shocking moment the impact of which was felt for many years to follow. A truly historical sequence for any Green Lantern or Superman fan.
