Description

A piece of comic book history. The very first page to ever feature Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul. Talia is perhaps the most important women in Batman's life and has been a key figure in the Batman mythos for the past 50 years, becoming one of Batman's great loves and the mother of his only son, Damian (Robin) Wayne.

Talia's story begins with her boarding a train with Doctor Darkk, the apparent head of the League of Assassins. We then see Talia and Darkk jumping off the moving train when they reach their destination, watched by Batman in disguise as an old lady. Soon after in the story Talia meets Batman/Bruce Wayne for the first time.

A promising rookie with the Bob Brown and Dick Giordano pedigree who will develop into the character we know through her subsequent appearances in classic Ra's al Ghul stories in Batman throughout the decades, the Animated series, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and more. Here in her most raw form, we can tell that she still needs to work on her leaping and maybe her free throws.
