Description

For years I have coveted/lusted for a page from one of the landmark issues of my youth Atom #7 featuring the first team up of the Atom and Hawkman.

Arguably it may be the best combination of artists to have ever depicted the winged wonder. The grace of Gil Kane coupled with the incredible inking of Murphy Anderson whom I consider to be the definitive Hawkman artist is in my mind the ultimate team-up of artists, right up there with Kirby and Sinnott and Colan and Palmer.

I say with a fair degree of pride this is arguably one of the three best pages from the issue and as you all can see very Hawkman specific.

I am thrilled to get a grail page especially since I missed out on a page from issue 7 about two years ago.... as an artist once said..." patience is a virtue."

This is an outstanding page from an issue that I remember fondly as well. The Hawkman and Atom team-ups during the silver age may have been second only to Green Lantern and Flash.
